Accompaniment in the company

Aim of the project

A more definite accompaniment in the company should allow trainees to optimise their practical training or trial period in order to improve their chances to be integrated in a permanent way.
We will carry out an experiment together with Inter-Cosmetiques, that is a private company and a member of the Development Partnership.

Objectives

To make trainees and employees involved in order to facilitate their appropriation of the project
To allow better coordination between partners
To facilitate the accompaniment on demand after the end of integration period in order to reduce the risk of failure when people return to work
To allow better understanding of the integration by companies and so their adherence.
To continue the work on identification of people’s behaviour at work

Public

Job seekers under 26 and over 26 years old.
People employed on solidarity contracts
50% men / 50 % women

Timing

From October till December 2002:

Establishment of support devices and of the resources centre for trainees with the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
Framework of the guide for pedagogical accompaniment in the company and of the plan for personalized training.

1st semester 2003:

Testing of support devices and of the resources centre for trainees, eventual adjustment
Composition of pedagogical guide
Organization of trainees’ reception together with Inter-Cosmetiques: definition of the whole procedure, composition of tutor’s and trainees’ groups, creation of forms that should be used to notice different work situations observed in the company.

2nd semester 2003 and until April 2004:

experiments, adjustment, improving of devices
Widening of experimentation field in order to test the devices in other professional sectors.

Methodology

3 steps:

Analysis of existing devices as far as accompaniment in the company is concerned
Establishment of methodology of accompaniment in the company (before and after the negotiation of a contract)
Experimentation, establishment of hypothesis of improvement, application of methodology, diffusion

Project state and progress

Since the beginning of 2003: establishment of devices and collective meetings in order to help the trainees to use the new technologies for job seeking.
Analysis of existing matters of accompaniment: we are working on questionnaire. A pre-test of it will be held at the end of September 2003.
Regular meetings with Inter-Cosmétiques: analysis of occurred problems and of actions to undertake.
Elaboration of the table of contents of the guide for accompaniment in the company that consists of 2 parts: the one for trainee and the other for trainer.
Organisation of experimentation in the company from the end of September/beginning of October 2003 for a group that was previously prepared at the company.
At the same time the devices are tested for transport and handling service. The aims of these devices are:
to facilitate the integration in the company: to prepare oneself, to follow the plan of action, to evaluate their own experience
evaluation by a tutor responsible for aspecific job and a sector of activity
personalized training plan

Difficulties

To understand the management of European funding and the contribution of public funds. This problem resulted in delay in organization of personnel.
